Kicking off at around 10 p.m., the pop superstar opened with her 2011 hit “Bloody Mary”, followed by an electrifying setlist of chart-toppers like “Poker Face” and “Alejandro.” The crowd sang and danced along as Gaga also performed tracks from her latest Billboard 200-topping album "Mayhem."
According to the Associated Press and Gaga’s representatives, this concert now holds the title of the most-attended concert by a female artist in history, beating Madonna’s 2024 record of 1.6 million at the same location. Official estimates cite 2.1 million attendees, though some sources report up to 2.5 million.
Out of the millions in attendance, more than 1 million were local Brazilians, while an estimated 500,000 international fans contributed to a surge in Rio’s tourism.
